    Donald R. “Billâ€?, son of Leon and Leona (Siepker) Louis was born January 18, 1951, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Carroll, Iowa.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter and Paul’s Church in Carroll. Bill attended Kuemper High School, graduating in 1969.

    After high school, Bill worked in the area for Witt Flooring before moving to Omaha to work for Omaha Cultured Marble. In 1987, he took a job as a health physics technician at Duane Arnold Nuclear Power Plant.  Bill then worked as a contractor at various nuclear facilities around the United States.

    Bill was a member of the Eagles Club and was a big fan of auto racing, the Minnesota Vikings, any college team from Iowa and Nebraska University sports teams.  Bill enjoyed being with friends and over the years relied heavily on his family.

    In 2003, Bill was diagnosed with cancer and on November 2, 2007, was again admitted in to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, where he died on November 6, 2007, at the age of 56 years, 9 months, and 19 days.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Matthew Louis. Bill is survived by his five siblings:  Larry Louis and wife Marva of Colorado Springs, CO, Jim Louis and wife Sue of Carroll; Jo Ann and husband Tom Morrissey of Denver, CO, Tom Louis and wife Pat of Carroll, and Paul Louis and wife Connie of Cedar Rapids; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
