Jeanette Elizabeth, daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Stevens) Lechtenberg, was born November 3, 1921 in Templeton, Iowa. She grew up in Templeton and attended school there. On September 17, 1940 Jeanette was united in marriage with Albert Siepker at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll. They made their home on a farm west of Carroll always feeling blessed and proud of their 17 children. Jeanette was a true homemaker and faithful spouse to her husband on the farm. In their spare time they enjoyed playing cards and listening to polka music. Jeanette also enjoyed being with her children.
In August of 2011 Jeanette moved to Winterset to be with her daughter Ann. She enjoyed good health until two weeks before her death when she suffered a stroke. JEanette died at her daughter’s home in Winterset on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the age of 90 years and 8 months.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Albert in 2007; sons Dean and Roy in infancy, Kenneth and Allen Siepker; daughters Donna Siepker, Karen Lhotka, and Mary Kay Klocke; daughter-in-law Janice Siepker, granddaughter Sara Siepker and siblings Loren, Floyd, Vernon, Louis and Henry Lechtenberg, Louise Stuhr and Alice Trafford.
She is survived by sons: Ron Siepker (Joyce), Roswell, NM; Duane Siepker, Webster City; Albert Siepker Jr. (Rita), Perry; Chris Siepker (Marilyn), Carroll; and David Siepker (Felicia), Plano, TX; daughters: Sister Janet Siepker, Falls Church, VA; Kathy Lenz (Keith), The Colony, TX; Gail Dentlinger (Don), Carroll; Suzanne Wyse (Ben), Frisco, TX; and Ann Ott (Ed), Winterset; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Paul Klocke, Clearfield; sisters-in-law: Dorothy, Mary and Nancy Lechtenberg, Margaret Schrad, Collette Potthoff, Mary Ann Schlorholtz, Marlene Siepker, and Connie Siepker; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
