Carl Duede

Carl M. Duede, 101, of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. He will be interred at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Gray, Iowa, on June 26, 2026.

Born in Audubon County, Iowa, on March 4, 1924, Carl graduated from Audubon High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later attended City College of New York. Carl spent more than 40 years in the industrial steel manufacturing and fabrication industry, where he was respected as both a Sales Manager and General Manager.

Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris, and his son, Brian. He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Foreman, and son-in-law, Stuart Foreman; and by his grandchildren, Lauren and Cameron, children of his late son Brian. Brian and Phyllis were born to Carl and his first wife, Joan.

Carl was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle whose warmth and sense of humor touched everyone he met. He was known for his ever-present smile, generous spirit, and genuine interest in others. An avid driver, Carl loved the open road and spent many happy years exploring the United States on road trips, creating memories and adventures along the way.

He will be remembered for his kindness, optimism, devotion to family, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.

His graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Lincoln Township Cemetery near Gray, Iowa.
