Colton Lee Pulver

March 28, 1991 — June 28, 2015

Colton Lee, son of Joseph and Janet (Duke) Pulver, was born March 28, 1991, at Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa. As a child he enjoyed hunting and trapping. He was homeschooled by his mother through his high school graduation in 2009. Colton worked side by side with his father in the family business, Bayard Building Supply, from the time he was young. He thoroughly enjoyed working with all of their customers. Colton lived on an acreage near Coon Rapids and did some carpentry work on the side. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider. In recent years he loved traveling throughout the country with his motorcycle friends, young and old. Colton lived life to the fullest on his own terms. Many will remember him for his heart of gold. Colton never met a stranger and he was always available to help and support his friends and family. On Sunday, June 28, 2015, Colton died following a car accident south of Bayard in Guthrie County. He was 24 years and 3 months of age. Preceding Colton in death are his grandparents Cliff and Leona Pulver and Homer and Harriett Duke. He is survived by his parents Joe and Janet Pulver of Bayard; half-brother Darren Heckman of Creston and his children Grant and Lexie; uncles Rocky Duke (Connie) of Durand, WI, and Randy Duke of Guthrie Center; aunt Ann Johnson of Perry; other family and friends far and wide.
