June 4, 1955 — August 22, 2015

DeWayne D, son of Johnnie and Loraine (Leeper) Boblett, was born June 4, 1955 in Dexter, Iowa. As a child he and his family moved around living in various communities. DeWayne finished the 11th grade at Guthrie Center High School then worked to help his family. He worked for Gus Construction in Adair for a short while until he went back to trucking. DeWayne was a trucker through and through. On July 21, 1996, DeWayne and Madeline were united in marriage at First Christian Church in Guthrie Center. DeWayne's children and Madeline's children combined into one family. From this union two children were added to the family. He was a John Wayne enthusiast; collecting over 100 John Wayne movies. DeWayne also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping when he had the chance. He and Madeline had plans to retire in a couple of years and travel the United States in their camper. DeWayne trucked for 40 plus years until his health started to fail in July of 2014. He was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer in May of 2015.
