Kevin John, "Pizza" son of Ervin and Marguerite (Kanne) Bauer, was born January 6, 1959 in Carroll, Iowa. He grew up in Manning and received his education in the Manning Schools.  Kevin then worked for Plastico Ltd. in Manning from 1976 to February of 2019, at which time he was diagnosed with cancer.

For the next 11 months, Kevin battled his cancer and passed away surrounded by his brothers on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Accura Healthcare of Manning, at the age of 61.

Kevin enjoyed small engine repair, lawn work and watching Cinemax. He also enjoyed helping anybody he could in the neighborhood.  He was always the go-to guy.  

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by an older brother Keith (Susana) Bauer of Ankeny; and four younger brothers: Jeff Bauer of Manning; Jim (Melissa) Bauer of Denison; Kenny (Diane) Bauer of Manilla; and Kerry Bauer of Manning; and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
