Kylie Deane, daughter of Rick and Kristi (Maffett) Perrin, was born August 28, 1990, in Ames, Iowa. She grew up in Ames and graduated from Gilbert High School in 2008. During her school years, she enjoyed participating in dance, soccer, softball and volleyball, singing, and playing the piano. Kylie then attended Iowa State for a short time before pursuing her passion of caring for children as a daycare provider.

On November 21, 2015, Kylie was united in marriage with Kyle Musfeldt in Clive, Iowa. The couple made their home near Coon Rapids. Kylie always wanted to be a mom and was blessed with a son Colby and a daughter Hadley. Kylie provided daycare in their home. Her empathy, ability to nurture and make everyone feel comfortable, made Kylie such a natural kid magnet, that her daycare had a long waiting list. To say that Kylie was a wonderful wife and mother, would be an understatement. To so many people, she was “The Best.”

Kylie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She and Kyle enjoyed going to concerts. She was incredibly funny, and brought ownership and a vibrant essence of life to every room she entered, mirror she looked into, and camera she posed for. She was a very close and great supporter of her brother, Ben, at ballgames and other activities. Kylie always made him feel safe, even when she made him watch her play video games and sit through her tv shows. Kylie cared about life which is why people wanted to be with her. As a final gift to humanity, Kylie passed on the gift of life thru tissue donation.

On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, Kylie died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home near Coon Rapids. She was 27 years and 7 months of age.

Kylie is survived by: her husband Kyle Musfeldt of Coon Rapids; two children: Colby Perrin and Hadley Musfeldt of Coon Rapids; her parents Rick and Kristi Perrin of Ames; her brother Ben Perrin of Ames; her grandparents Sue and Mack Maffett of Ames and Mary Shahan of Ames; Kyle’s parents Kent and Jill Musfeldt of Coon Rapids; a sister-in-law Sara Roetman and husband Justin of Coon Rapids; and two nieces Tenley and Kennedi.
