LaVonne June, daughter of Estel Paul and Bessie June (Ferdig) Clark, was born April 22, 1935, in Onawa, Iowa. She grew up in Onawa and moved to Council Bluffs while in high school.
LaVonne was married to William Poffenbarger. Three children: William Jr., Cyndie and Robert were born to this union. Williams was in the Navy and the family made their home in California before returning to Council Bluffs. This marriage ended.
LaVonne was then united in marriage with Darrell Leib. They made their home in Council Bluffs and to this marriage was born three children: Sandra, Suzette and Garry Dean. This marriage ended.

LaVonne was mostly a homemaker and worked outside the home in daycare, a deli worker and at Brandeis during the holidays. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was a wonderful seamstress who could also crochet. “Butch,” as many knew her, enjoyed camping, square dancing on roller skates (in her younger years), and anything to do with her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Marvin Clark and Gary Dean Clark; and a son Garry Dean Leib.
