Leona M Heue

Leona Marie, daughter of Anton and Elizabeth (Kawi) Heue was born on November 8, 1930 in Carroll, Iowa. She attended St. Lawrence Grade School and graduated from St. Angela's Academy in Carroll in 1949. Leona then worked for the F.W. Woolworth Store in Carroll. When the store closed she moved to Des Moines and worked for Woolco. Leona later took a job with the Federal Land Bank until her retirement in 1995. Leona then returned to Carroll and was an active volunteer in the Foster Grandparents Program. On February 13, 2012 Leona died as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Carroll. She was 81 years, 3 months and 5 days of age. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wilbur Heue, Lawrence Heue, Bernard Heue and Robert Heue in infancy and sisters: Evelyn Nelson, Helen Heue in infancy, Marie Terlisner and Mildred Heue. She is survived by her sister JoAnn Vogel of Carroll, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebrant REV.
