     Loraine Rose Irlbeck was born April 20, 1919, at Willey, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Katherine (Kraus) Venteicher. She received her education at St. Mary's in Willey.

     On May 28, 1940 Loraine was united in marriage with Felix B. Irlbeck of Templeton at St. Mary's Church in Willey. Loraine and Felix were the parents of five children. They made their home one mile southeast of Templeton. Loraine was a homemaker. She loved baking, her pies and cakes were treasures. Loraine enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She also did volunteer work at the Sacred Heart library and at St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary. Loraine's family meant the world to her and she was a caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

      Felix died in 1979 and Loraine continued to live on the farm until moving into Templeton in 1985. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Guild.

     In 2015 Loraine moved to Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Carroll, Iowa, where she passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019.  She reached the age of 100 years and 15 days.

     Besides her husband Felix, Loraine was preceded in death by a son Daryl Irlbeck in 2010; daughter-in-law Joleen Irlbeck in 2005; parents Herman and Katherine Venteicher; brothers Albert, Ed, Leonard and Louis Venteicher; sisters Hilda Bierl, Leona Schmitz, Mildred Rohe and Colette Fischer.

     Loraine is survived by her children: Karen Blaha of Templeton; Keith (Diane) of Northfield, MN; Dick (Donna) of Templeton; Steve (Lisa) of Templeton; daughter-in-law Joyce Irlbeck of Lakeville, MN; ten grandchildren: Renee (Wayne) Clarke, Brenda (Brian) Schreurs, Ryan Irlbeck, Matthew (Kelly) Irlbeck, Jessica (Jay) Smith, Aaron (Jacque) Irlbeck, Alicia (Dan) Newman, Zachery (Lindsey) Irlbeck, Joshua and Colton Irlbeck; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law Ott Fischer of Algona and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
