August 31, 1936 — January 11, 2022

Lowell Allen, son of Herbert and Regilda (Stoffers) Stribe, was born on August 31, 1936, in Carroll, Iowa. He grew up on a farm northeast of Manning where he attended rural schools. In 1952, Lowell moved with his family into Manning, graduating from Manning High School in 1954.

On June 3, 1956, Lowell was united in marriage with Lois Anthony at the United Methodist Church in Manning. Lowell first worked for the Manning Creamery Company. In 1958 they started farming northeast of Manning while raising their three children. In 1969, Lowell became an agent for Home Mutual Insurance. In 1987, Lowell and Lois had a farm sale. They sold the acreage in 1988 and moved into Manning in 1989.

Throughout the years, Lowell was active in the United Methodist Church and Hayes Township Schuetzen Verein. Throughout the years, he enjoyed going to dances, fishing, golfing, and playing cards at Cliff's and with his grandkids. Lowell was a true family man. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially their ballgames and activities and going on family vacations.
