Lula Mae daughter of Herman J. and Mary Lizzie Gerentz Fick was born March 19, 1923, in Greene County. She grew up in the rural communities around Bayard and Coon Rapids where she attended country school. On May 19, 1941, Lula was united in marriage to Dale Sigler in Fremont, NE. This union was blessed with one son and three daughters. Lula lived her entire married life in Coon Rapids except for the time Dale was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, serving in the Army. Lula and Dale were married for 63 years. Lulas greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding Lula in death were her parents; her husband, Dale; son Maurice, in infancy; son-in-law Charles Waldo; three brothers, Roy, Clarence, and John Fick and two sisters, Irene Meyers and Dorothy Hofbauer. She is survived by three daughters: Janice and husband Don Badger of Bagley; Jane Waldo and Don Inhken of Jefferson; and Joyce and husband John Badger of Coon Rapids; seven grandchildren: Brad Badger of Lawrence, KS; Jeffrey Badger of Des Moines; Jamie Badger and wife Katie of Des Moines; Mike Caraher and wife Tanya of Ogden; Brent Badger and wife Jenifer of Bagley; Lisa and husband Doug Lange of Scranton; Theresa and husband Troy Morgan of Northglenn, CO; eleven great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers Duane Fick and wife Emma of Altoona and Howard Fick and wife Irene of Portland, OR; three sisters: Mildred Scheffers of New Port, OR; Esther Holdsworth of Altoona; Vera Mozena of Bayard; two sisters-in-law: Evelyn Fick and Maejean Baker both of Coon Rapids; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
