Pamela A. Jurgensen

June 18, 1952 — March 22, 2012

Pamela Ann, daughter of Albert "Swede" and Madonna (McMahon) Schwieso, was born June 18, 1952 in Chicago, IL where her father was stationed with the United States Navy. After his discharge, they moved home to Manilla, IA. Pam and her four siblings attended Manilla schools where Pam graduated in 1970. After completing her education, she worked for Dr. John Hennessey. After a short time she began her career at Manilla State Bank, later called National Bank of Iowa and then Bank Iowa. She worked there until her health seriously declined. On October 12, 1974 Pam was united in marriage with Gerald Lee Jurgensen. They were blessed with three children, first living on a farm west of Manilla and then moving into Manilla. Pam really enjoyed making salsa, baking and cross-stitching for her grandchildren. Above all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and dog Pepper. Pam had been experiencing health problems for several months and starting February 28, 2012 she began to seriously decline. She died early Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning. She was 59 years, 9 months and 4 days of age. She is now in heaven along with her parents, brother Michael "Mick" Schwieso and grandson Michael Lee Osborne. Pam is survived by her beloved husband Gerald Jurgensen of Manilla; three children Jill and husband Darrek Osborne of Manning, Tim Jurgensen and wife Melissa and their sons Travis and Tyler of Bondurant and Caren and husband Matt Klink and their son Deegan of Westside; sister Chris and husband Glen Macumber of Manilla, two brothers Dennis Schwieso and wife Linda of Waterloo and Jeff Schwieso and wife Karen of Alexandria, MN; sister in law Carleen Schwieso of Manilla; aunts Dorothy Rooney of Sioux City and Pat McMahon of Manilla; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
