Patsy Jo, daughter of Aubrey and Goldie (Counts) French, was born May 10, 1939 at Regina, Kentucky. She grew up in Clincho, VA and graduated from nearby Ervington High School in 1958. After graduation she moved to Spokane, WA to live with her aunt and uncle and attend nursing school. However she met her future husband Keith Lee at an Easter sunrise service. He was stationed with the United States Air Force in Spokane and Patsy and Keith were married on September 6, 1958 in Spokane. Over the next years, they lived on various bases in the United States whenever Patsy was allowed to go with him. They were the parents of five children. Keith worked for a number of companies eventually retiring from Boeing Corporation. They then moved to Coon Rapids, IA in 1995, her husband's home town. Patsy worked as a nursing assistant off and on over the years, however she was a full time homemaker taking great joy in raising her children.
