Sharon Ann Frohlich

August 13, 1939 — January 1, 2015

Sharon Ann, daughter of Jeptha and Wilma (Perks) Bennington, was born August 13, 1939 in Carbon, Adams County, Iowa. She grew up in Carbon and attended school in Corning, graduating with the Class of 1956. After completing her education, Sharon moved to Des Moines where she worked at the downtown public library and as a medical secretary. While living in Des Moines, Sharon met Phillip Butchie' Frohlich. They were united in marriage on September 19, 1964. They made their home in Coon Rapids, Iowa, and were the parents of three children. Sharon worked at Frohlich's Super Valu, P & S Coffee Shoppe and the Coon Rapids Library. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and thoroughly enjoyed her Happy Homemakers Birthday Club and participation in the Kitchen Kluckers band. Sharon was always very busy shopping for just about anything, driving her yellow VW Beetle, going to farmers markets, watching food shows on TV or listening to Frank Sinatra. She was a loyal Iowa State Fair fan. When Sharon's health began to fail she became a resident of Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home in Coon Rapids where she died on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 19 days. Preceding Sharon in death are her parents and two brothers in law Rollie Spring and Jerome Frohlich. She is survived by her husband Phillip Butch' Frohlich of Coon Rapids; one daughter Jill Anthofer (Jeff) of Coon Rapids, two sons Scott Frohlich (Pattie) of Harlan and Lynn Frohlich (Tracie) of Audubon; 12 grandchildren Alex, Andrew and Austin Anthofer; Tytan and Teya Frohlich and Jesse (Britni) Olson and Wendy Olson; and Trae, Tylie, Trenton, Ella and Rye Frohlich; one great grandchild Kodi Olson; one sister Barbara Spring of Polk City; two sisters in law Janyce Frohlich of Coon Rapids, Gayle Olson of Wisconsin and Francis (John) Andrusyk of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
