   Victoria Dale, daughter of Max Dale Sanford Sr. and Rita Kathryn (Sullivan) Sanford, was born December 27, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. Vicki then waitressed at Michael’s Restaurant for a short time before becoming bartender and manager at All In The Family for the next 25 years.  For the last two years she worked at HyVee Market Grille on Fleur Drive.  Vicki enjoyed the friendships that formed with the many customers she served throughout the years.

   Vicki enjoyed caring for others and had a great sense of pride and joy for her family. She took care of her father until his death in February 2016, and then moved to Manning in June to be with her son and his family. 

   On Friday, September 23, 2016 Vicki died at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines after her health began to fail in August. She was 61 years, 8 months and 27 days of age.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Max Sanford, Jr. and Michael Sanford.

    Vicki is survived by her son Brett Sanford and wife Kasie of Manning; four grandchildren Max, Jack, Ella and Will Sanford of Manning; sisters Toni and husband Cam Golley of Cambridge and Missy Sanford of Des Moines; brothers Matthew Sanford of Des Moines, Mark Sanford of Des Moines, Martin Sanford of Des Moines and Monte Sanford of Des Moines; many nieces, nephews and other friends.
