Diane Agnes, daughter of Lawrence and Lucille (Steffes) Irlmeier, was born June 2, 1942, at her home near Templeton, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm south of Templeton and attended Sacred Heart School into her early high school years. Diane then worked in her home and at the Kaus Grocery Store in Templeton.
On October 28, 1961, Diane was united in marriage with Roger Eischeid at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. The couple farmed near westside for 12 years and then moved to the family farm near Manning in 1973. Besides farming, Diane held various parttime jobs in the area. In 2004, they moved to Templeton after the death of Diane's mother, Lucille Galloway, whose house they purchased.
Diane was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and Catholic Daughters, in both Manning and Templeton. She was a great cook and liked to crochet, quilt, sew, embroidery and work with the livestock on the farm. Diane cherished the time spent with her family.
In October of 2020, Diane broke her leg. She then experienced a steady decline in health until she passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Accura Healthcare in Carroll, Iowa. She was 78 years, 9 months and 14 days of age.
Diane is survived by her husband Roger Eischeid of Templeton; five children: Connie Segebart (Terry) of Denison; Kenny Eischeid (Becky) of Manning; Donnie Eischeid of Alva, FL; Larry Eischeid of Manning; Karla Stork (Larry) of Breda: thirteen grandchildren: Nikki, Joshua, Amanda, Jeremiah, Carrie, Casie, Courtney, Cristyn, Cody, Sara, Johnathan, Jordan and Kendra; eight great-grandchildren: Jerod, Justin, Rylee, Preston Wesley, Kyra, Deklyn and Elsie, (plus 2 more on the way); three sisters: Alice Sundrup of Council Bluffs; June Neppl (Art) of Omaha; and Jan Hansman (Don) of Council Bluffs; and three sisters-in-law: Janet Irlmeier of Kearney, Nebraska; Diane Tigges (Virgil) of Carroll; and Marie Eischeid of Manning.
